From the Valley of Roses to Your Home
The Valley of Roses
Nestled in the heart of Bulgaria, the Rose Valley of Kazanlak has been cultivating Rosa Damascena for over 400 years. The unique microclimate — sheltered by the Balkan Mountains to the north and Sredna Gora to the south — creates perfect conditions for the world's finest rose oil.
The Harvest
Each May and June, roses are hand-picked at dawn when their oil content peaks. It takes approximately 3,500 kg of rose petals to produce just 1 kg of precious rose otto — making it one of the most valuable essential oils in the world.

The Distillation
Traditional copper alembic stills gently extract the essence through steam distillation. This time-honored process, passed down through generations, preserves the full complexity of the rose's aromatic profile — over 300 naturally occurring compounds.
PDO Protected & Lab Tested
Bulgarian Rose Oil holds Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) status from the European Union. Every batch we sell comes with a certificate of analysis, verifying purity, origin, and composition.
